Stuffed Cabbage

Brown 2 servings of Country Sunrise MUSHROOM BURGER Mix
1/4 cup of chopped onion
1/4 cup of chopped green pepper
2/3 cup of lo pro rice
6 cabbage leaves
1 clove of garlic
1/4 cup of tomato puree
1/2 cup of Italian stewed tomatoes

Make burger mix and rice and set aside.  Cook onion, green pepper, and garlic.  Steam cabbage leaves while doing this.  Add tomato puree to the onion mixture.  Then add the burger mix and the rice.  Put a little of mixture in each leaf and fold over.  You can use a toothpick to hold it closed.  Put seam side down in pan and pour the stewed tomatoes over.  Heat until bubbling.

Makes 6 servings. PHE: 65mg per serving

I have 2 grandchildren with PKU.  They both love your hamburger mix and egg mix.  This is a recipe they both enjoy, I hope you like it.

New Country Sunrise Vegetable HOT DOG Preparation Method

I tried something new recently and it worked! I rolled them up in foil individually... just like I would do with the plastic wrap... except it's so much easier to knot off each end by just twisting the foil tightly... Then I bake them wrapped up like that... only I do it for much longer on a lower heat  Last time I made 8 all at once... baked them at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes or so... and Ta Da!  When you unwrap it it has a beautiful hot dog shape and color.  I love that I can just leave them wrapped in the foil like that to keep in the fridge or even freeze... and just unwrap and heat up as needed. Just wanted to share this.
